In order to strengthen staff competencies for patient care in nursing infant, more than 50 nurses and technical staff of Regional Hospital Materno Infantil (HRDMI) " El Carmen "were trained by specialists in neonatology and International Consultants Hospital Cayetano Heredia de Lima.
Workshop held in facilities Hospital Materno Infantil "El Carmen" had as its main themes: the immediate newborn care, hand washing, neonatal monitoring, and oxygen enodinámico terpoper; exhibitions were conducted by two experts in neonatology Hospital Cayetano Heredia "Angelica Morales Garcia and Guisela Souza Ferreyra, international consultant of the Ministry of Health (MOH).
"We have set the goal of strengthening the skills of our nurses and staff of Maternal and Child Hospital to be prepared for any situation and address of the best way on issues of nursing the newborn. The training will last three days and is organized by that strategy and the Department of Nursing of HRDMI "El Carmen". The first day was held yesterday, the second and third will take place today and tomorrow. The workshop hours are 8:30 am to noon and afternoons from 3 to 5 pm.
